Asphalt resurfacing including pulverization, surface milling, and application of new asphalt pavement. Questions Due Date: Aug 31st 2026, 2:00 PM CDT All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to City electrically through the Vendor Discussions section under the respective Project via the Procurement Portal. The major work will consist of the (approximate) following: 250 TN CEMLIME 15,500 SY 11" Pulverization 15,500 SY 3" Asphalt Pavement 49000 SY 4" Surface Milling 49000 SY 4" Asphalt Pavement The asphalt paving construction activity identified under the referenced code represents the major scope of work for this project. Currently, only two pre-qualified SBE asphalt paving contractors are located within Denton, Johnson, Parker, Tarrant or Wise counties, which is fewer than the minimum requirement of three firms. Additional outreach efforts confirmed that no additional asphalt paving contractors meet the City's SBE certification requirements. Therefore, there are not enough SBE certified contractors reasonably available to competitively bid on this project. This condition meets the criteria for requesting.
