Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Decatur, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project will consist of stabilizing a washout which has formed due to storm water runoff. The contractor will remove and dispose of deleterious material and fill the void with suitable clay soil to 85% standard proctor. An owner procured pre-cast storm water catch basin will be installed on the southwest terminus of Taylor Avenue . Two (2) 14 PVC pipes will be installed from the concrete structure, across SDD's interceptor a minimum of 7, daylighted discharge to R4 constructed drainage path. Embed pipe in CA7 gravel fill and terminated at the southernmost edge of the SDD easement. Geotextile fabric shall be placed at the base of pipe terminations and covered in Rip Rap (R4). Compacted in-situ will be placed over the pipes and re-graded to form an overflow swale for the storm drain inlet. The existing fence will be restored and turf reseeded. Stabilization and compaction of the crevasse extending to the south edge of the SDD utility easement. Excavation and installation of an owner procured storm water catchment basin on the southwest terminus of Taylor Ave with two (2) 14" PVC conveyance pipes from the storm water structure to the south edge of the utility easement with geotextile fabric and rip rap cover at the base of the outfall. Restoration of the easement with the establishment of an overflow drainage swale above the newly installed pipe.
