Site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Rapid City, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Wind damage repairs to the County Highway Warm Shed facility. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The scope of work includes: A. All the work described below is to be started and finished in sections so the building can safely be used during construction. Open work or exposed building elements shall be protected so the interior space is not damaged by weather. Coordinate all work to be done each day with the owner. Safety is of the utmost importance. B. Wall Work: Removing the metal wall panels. Remove the colored metal gutters, downspouts, metal soffits, metal accessories and metal trim . Install (2) steel hold down anchors at each buried wood post. Inspect existing wall insulation (6" batt) and add or replace as needed or required. Inspect horizontal bookshelf 2 x 6 girts and replace as needed or required. Add blocking at all OSB wall panel edges.Add Tyvek over the wall sheathing. Replace the vinyl windows and screen with equal or better windows - Alternate bid. Replace steel man doors - Alternate bid (reused existing hardware) Add new trim metal trim around the man doors, windows and garage doors. Add new OSB panels to the walls. Reinstall the metal siding with new color match screws with washers and waterproof enclosures strips. Install new colored metal gutters, downspouts and door trim. Use all new color matched screws with washers. C. Roof Work: Removed the metal roof panels. Remove the metal whirley birds, boots on pipe penetrations, metal ridge cap, snow guards and accessories. Remove the flat 2 x 4 purlins and reinstall vertical 2 x 4 purlins between trusses using metal hangers. . Evaluated the permanent roof truss bracing system and repair as required. Install gable end truss bracing at all end posts. Install new blow-in installation in attic space to create R-49 rating - Alternate bid. Replace gable end vents for proper attic ventilation. Install new OSB panels on the roof with metal clips. Install new synthetic felt over new OSB roof panels Reinstall the metal roof panels with new color match screws and washers. Install new color matched ridge cap with closure strips. Install new color match whirly birds and new rubber boots at all roof penetrations. D. Work to start on September 7, 2026 (Monday) 1. Work to be completed by November 20, 2026 (Friday) | 9-week construction timeline If mailed, the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Wind Damage Repair - Pennington County Highway Warm Shed" placed inside of the mailing envelope. . A deposit of One Hundred dollars ($ 100) will be charged for each set of construction documents. Question Deadline 08/24/2026 Any person who plans to bid on the project may submit to the Engineer a written request for an interpretation of any part of the Plans and Specifications or Contract Documents. Requests for interpretations shall be made not less than two (2) days prior to the opening of bids.
