Removal of existing built-up roofing down to the deck and installation of a new multi-layer insulation package along with a new PVC (KEE) roof system for 5 roof areas totaling approximately 24,313 square feet. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. Questions regarding the project will be clarified by the Consultant Vigo County School Corporation - The Learning Lab Partial Roof Replacement as indicated in the Construction Documents. The contract will be awarded to the best responsive & responsible qualified bidder(s). Work includes removal of existing built-up roofing down to the deck. Installation of a new multi-layer insulation package along with a new PVC (KEE) roof system Base Bid: Roof Sections #2, #3, #5, #7, and #8- Remove the existing gravel surfaced BUR, insulation, flashings, and other roofing components down to the existing metal deck. Inspect the deck for deterioration or damage and replace or repair as required and approved on a unit price basis. Install new insulation and a fully adhered 60 mil KEE PVC membrane. Upgrade metal work as detailed. Add wood blocking as required for increased insulation thickness and/or remove and replace deteriorated wood blocking on a unit price basis. Install roof drain sumps as detailed and specified. Replace flashings and other components as detailed and specified. Roof Section #2 Scope of Work: Remove the existing gravel surfaced BUR, insulation, flashings, and other roofing components down to the existing metal deck. Inspect the exposed deck for deterioration or damage and replace or repair as required and approved on a unit price basis. Install one (1) layer of two-inch (2") thick polyisocyanurate insulation, mechanically fastened to the existing metal deck, in accordance with the system manufacturer's wind uplift approvals. Install a second layer of two-inch (2") thick polyisocyanurate insulation , in insulation adhesive staggered in all directions from the underlying layer of insulation. Remove and replace wet and/or deteriorated wood blocking on a unit cost basis. Replace cracked and damaged drain assemblies on a unit cost basis.On all drains, replace plastic drain strainers with new cast iron units as part of Base Bid. Install new minimum 4' x 4' tapered sumps at all single drains. Increase the size of the sump as necessary to ensure positive drainage. Install new projection blocking to accommodate the new insulation height, if needed. Install new metal edge details, metal counterflashing, and other flashings as detailed and noted on the drawings. Install new fully adhered 60 mil KEE PVC membrane roofing system. Provide a 20-year RoofSMART(TM) Quality Assurance Warranty by the roofing system manufacturer. Roof Sections #3, #5, #7, and #8 Scope of Work: Remove the existing gravel surfaced BUR, insulation, flashings, and other roofing components down to the existing metal deck. Inspect the exposed deck for deterioration or damage and replace or repair as required and approved on a unit price basis. Install one (1) layer of one and one-half inch (1-1/2") thick polyisocyanurate insulation, mechanically fastened to the metal deck in accordance with the system manufacturer's wind uplift approvals. Install a 1/4" per foot tapered polyisocyanurate insulation system with a minimum average R-Value of 22.0, in insulation adhesive. Remove and replace wet and/or deteriorated wood blocking on a unit price basis. Replace cracked and damaged drain assemblies on a unit cost basis. On all drains, replace plastic drain strainers with new cast iron units as part of Base Bid. Install new minimum of 4' x 4' sumps at all single roof drains. Increase the size of the sump as necessary to ensure positive drainage. Install new projection blocking to accommodate the new insulation height, if needed. Install new metal edge details, metal counterflashing, and other flashings as detailed and noted on the drawings. Install new expansion joints and area dividers as detailed. Install new fully adhered 60 mil KEE PVC membrane roofing system. Provide a 20-year RoofSMART(TM) Quality Assurance Warranty by the roofing system manufacturer
