The City of Monroe is requesting proposals for the Transit Streetcar Restoration project. Document existing condition with photographs and measured drawings. Disassemble, catalog, and preserve original components. Repair or replace structural framing using historically appropriate materials. Restore woodwork, windows, trim, flooring, and interior finishes. Restore exterior body panels, roof, destination signs, and decorative moldings. Rebuild electrical interior/exterior lighting using concealed modern safety improvements where necessary. Apply historically accurate paint, striping, lettering, and numbering. Provide preservation documentation.
