Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Pickstown, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to construct a recreational trail corridor. Work includes clearing, grubbing, trimming, removing, and treating trees, logs, limbs, brush, plants, and other vegetation within a designated trail alignment, while protecting existing native Burr Oak trees and minimizing disturbance outside clearing limits. Cleared vegetation shall be removed and piled near the staging area for future removal. The project includes approximately 2,250 linear feet of bench excavation and tread shaping to create a stable trail base, installation of a finished trail tread ranging from 36 to 48 inches wide, and placement, grading, and mechanical compaction of a 4-inch lift of crushed gravel. Work also includes construction of switchbacks and turning platforms suitable for pedestrian and bicycle traffic, maintaining required trail grades, installing grade reversals and drainage features to support long-term trail sustainability, and constructing a 4-foot by 8-foot gravel pad adjacent to the trail for future installation of a cedar log bench. The contractor shall prevent ground disturbance outside the designated limits and perform any required remedial measures if directed.
