The City is seeking contractors to submit bids for the road rehabilitation in various locations throughout the City. The work in general includes, but is not limited to grinding, overlay, full depth reclamation, traffic control, protection of existing utilities and improvements, adjustment of utility covers and valve boxes to grade, pavement repairs as necessary, pavement fabric if required, asphalt paving, rolling and compaction, striping and pavement marking restoration, cleanup, and disposal of excess materials. Vicinity maps showing the approximate project locations are included as Attachment A for reference. All work shall be performed in accordance with the latest edition of the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Standard Specifications and Standard Plans, and the requirements of the City of Madera. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete the work in a safe and workmanlike manner and within the time specified in the Contract Documents. The contractor must comply with all safety requirements as set forth in the latest editions of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways ( MUTCD), as well as the MUTCD California Supplement.
