This project is part of the City's annual sidewalk maintenance program. The 2026 Downtown Brick Paver Maintenance project aims to maintain the brick paver pedestrian areas throughout the downtown business district. Brick paver pedestrian sidewalk and amenity areas are maintained by eliminating differentials across brick joints or thresholds, replacing damaged or missing brick, and minimize entrapment of water on the surface. The project consists of removing and resetting existing brick pavers. Where replacement of pavers are required due to damage, those bricks are generally provided by the City for use by the Contractor. Bids submitted are offers only and the decision to accept or reject is a function of quality, reliability, capability, reputation, and expertise of the bidders. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any non-conformity in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interests of the City. The City also reserves the right to reject the bid of a bidder who has previously failed to satisfactorily perform a contract, has not completed contracts on time, or whom investigation shows is not in a position to perform the contract. The City of Naperville reserves the right to award individual bids to more than one vendor if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease the contract quantity without penalty from the contractor to the City.
