The City of Eustis is looking to award a multi-year continuing services contract for the striping of streets within the city limits. The project will focus on areas where existing striping is considered poor based upon a survey conducted by Kimley-Horn in late 2025. The project will include street lines and stop bars throughout the community. The successful bidder shall use Thermoplastic pavement markings. Yellow and white pavement markings shall be retro-reflective. All pavement marking materials, pigments, beads, highly reflective media and resins shall be free from all skins, dirt and foreign objects. Pavement marking paint shall be a ready mixed type paint product conforming to Federal Specification TTP 1952F with spraying consistency suitable for use as a retro-reflective pavement marking. Glass beads are dropped by suitable pressurized means into the wet paint as it is applied to the pavement. All city street striping will be reflective despite the FDOT speed limit requirement. The retro-reflectivity shall meet the initial requirements of FM 5-541. Contractor shall replace, at no cost to the City, any thermoplastic pavement markings that do not perform satisfactorily under traffic during the 18-month observation period following the striping being laid. Attached is a map and spreadsheet indicating areas with inadequate striping that require completion. Estimates should specify the price per linear foot. Parking lines will not be reflective. All work shall be done pursuant to the attached FDOT Thermoplastic Pavement Markings Specification.
