Installation of heavy duty asphalt concrete surface for heavy truck and trailer training. The primary intent is to provide heavy duty asphalt concrete surface for heavy truck and trailer training at the Mac Hill Driver's Training Site located within the Regional Training Institute (RTI) on Fort Pickett. The existing improved lot is +/- 100,280 SF. Roughly 30 % has an old asphalt surface. The rest in covered with 12"-18" of compacted stone. This Scope of Work will remove asphalt and sidewalk (south side) that is currently in place and re-grade parking lot and entrances to elevations provided and compacted ensuring positive drainage and eliminating the drastic grade change. Contractor will place Asphalt Concrete as specified (Base Mix and Surface course) and provide markings per provided RTI drawings. Contractor to provide and install specified AAR shed with foundation, (1) receptacle at each corner approximately 48" from the deck, (2) switch operated fans in the back corners, (2) switch operated overhead lighting and LPS (Lightning Protection System). Culverts at either entrance on East Parade to be replaced and graded to drain. New underground electrical (to each pole and to new installed AAR Shed), (4) new light poles, light pole foundations per VDOT LF- 1 Standard, bollards and dual fixtures to be installed around perimeter to illuminate training area parking lot per provided drawing and Army regulation UFGS 26 55 53 Security Lighting.
