The City of Chester is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive grounds maintenance services for George B. Guy Park and Jackson James Park. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, disposal, and incidentals necessary to maintain both parks in a clean, safe, and attractive condition. The initial contract term shall be one (1) year with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms upon mutual agreement and satisfactory performance. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, transportation and disposal necessary to perform the work. Initial Clearing (one-time): o Clean all property lines. o Remove all trash, litter, leaves, brush, and debris. o Remove fallen limbs and branches. o Remove illegal dumping. o Clear drainage ditches. o Weed eat all overgrown areas. o Trim vegetation around fences, sidewalks, signs, playgrounds, pavilions, benches, and buildings. o Spread mulch in landscape beds and around designated trees. o Beautify the grounds. o Remove and legally dispose of all debris. Bi-Weekly Maintenance: o Trash and litter removal. o Weed eating. o Property line cleanup. o Drainage ditch cleanup. o Removal of leaves, branches, and debris. o Blow sidewalks, courts, parking areas, and pavilions. o Spot mulch replacement as directed. o General beautification. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, request additional information, negotiate with proposers, and award the contract deemed in the best interest of the City.
