Description

Site work for an educational facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.

The Rosenthal School project is a planned K-6 school facility located in the Rosenthal neighbourhood of west Edmonton. Geotechnical investigations and settlement analyses have identified challenging subsurface conditions at the site that require ground improvement prior to building construction. To address these conditions and reduce the risk of long-term post-construction settlement In advance of building construction, a geotechnical pre-loading program is required to prepare the existing ground for school construction. Work shall comprise of, but not be limited to soil stripping, excavation, gravel pad construction, import of suitable clay and construction and compaction of pre-loading structure, borrow excavation and compaction of pre-loading structure and installation of wick drainage.
