Provide architect-engineer (A-E) general design and related services through individual task orders to support civil works, navigation, flood risk management, hurricane and storm damage risk reduction, environmental infrastructure, and multi-purpose projects throughout the boundaries or assignments of the Mississippi Valley Division. Services include investigations, analyses, engineering studies, technical writing, drafting, preparation of design documentation reports, feasibility studies, plans and specifications, geotechnical reports, OMRR&R manuals, value engineering studies, and other technical engineering documents. Perform civil, hydraulic, hydrologic, sediment transport, coastal, structural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, architectural, naval architectural, and environmental engineering design services. Provide project management, CAD drafting, GIS mapping and analysis, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Civil Information Modeling (CIM), and engineering support during project advertisement and construction, including response to RFIs, submittal reviews, design revisions, construction observation, and site visits. Support projects involving locks, floodgates, floodwalls, levees, navigation structures, drainage canals, pumping stations, prestressed and post-tensioned concrete structures, bulkheads, dolphins, fenders, guide walls, jetties, shoreline protection features, roads, bridges, utility relocations, buildings, and other related infrastructure. Services may include surveying, aerial mapping, HTRW investigations, soil borings and testing, structural and geotechnical analyses, hydraulic and water quality studies, development of design-build RFPs, right-of-way drawings, drainage analysis, finite element modeling, pile analysis, settlement analysis, seepage and dewatering analysis, stability analyses, retaining structure design, and other specialized engineering evaluations. Provide field investigations, surveying, instrumentation data collection, installation and monitoring of devices such as piezometers, inclinometers, stream gages, and corrosion meters. Compile and analyze field data, develop CAD and GIS products, prepare instrumentation evaluation reports, and support stream gaging and monitoring activities. Conduct levee safety inspections and structural periodic inspections, including evaluation of safety, stability, structural integrity, operational adequacy, reporting, and data entry into applicable USACE inspection systems. Work may involve both existing and new projects at any stage of planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, or replacement. Location: Mississippi Valley Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, including the New Orleans District and other areas within the division's boundaries or assigned areas.
