Installation of 80lf of 8" DI water main and 60lf of 6" DI water main and provide new cemtous lining for approx. 1160lf of existing 6 cast Iron, valve replacements and all associated works. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, Performance Bond required (unspecified amount), Payment Bond required (unspecified amount). The Town anticipates the following items will be supplied by the town and installed by the Contractor: approximately 80 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe; 60 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron pipe; two 6-inch x 6-inch x 6-inch tees; two 8-inch gate valves; nine 6-inch gate valves; approximately 1,120 linear feet of 6-inch cast iron pipe to be scraped and lined; and the removal of up to 20 linear feet of 6-inch asbestos-cement pipe. All asbestos pipe removal and disposal shall be done by a licensed Ma approved company. The work shall be performed in accordance with the Contract Documents, Drawings, applicable industry standards, applicable American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. The work shall include, but shall not necessarily be limited to, the furnishing and installation of a temporary water bypass system; inspection and video documentation of the existing water main; excavation and preparation of access and cleaning pits; cleaning of the existing water main; cement-mortar relining of the existing water main; curing; disinfection; flushing; pressure testing; final video inspection; restoration of all excavations and disturbed surfaces; and all other work necessary to provide a complete and operational water main system.
