Replace and install siding on three sides of the main barn, including removal of old siding, securing loose siding, flashing windows, installing vapor barriers and shimming, priming, and painting. The contractor is responsible for all material , transportation, and freight costs associated with the siding project at the Holcomb Farm. Front of barn (East Side) Remove siding from designated area and replace it with like siding. Ensure that all loose siding is secured with ribbed galvanized nails. Flash windows with aluminum (color white) or as an option, PVC Install kick back ledge under lower course of siding and caulk to minimize rodents from entering building. (Will be explained at the walk through) Prime both sides of siding prior to installation. Paint entire wall with Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior, Element Guard 100% Acrylic Both back (west) and (south) sides have two options. Option 1 Flash windows with aluminum (color white) or as an option, PVC Secure deteriorated siding and cover with like siding (sample to be provided by selected contractor). Install vapor barrier, Tyvek or equivalent. Install 1/2 X 3" shimming from top to bottom at 16" on center Option 2 Flash windows with aluminum (color white) or as an option, PVC o Secure deteriorated siding and cover with PVC siding Install vapor barrier, Tyvek or equivalent. Install 1/4 "insulation under siding.
