Roadway milling, curb removal, pavement patching, adjusting and replacing utility manhole covers and gate boxes, curbing placement, pavement shimming, placement of new pavement, pavement markings, paving driveway entrances, and restoring lawn areas. Question Deadline 09/03/2026 Any request from prospective Bidder for interpretation of meaning of Contract Drawings, Specifications, or other Contract Documents shall be made, in writing on bidexpress.com or via email to engineering@southwindsor-ct.gov, and to be given consideration, must be received at least four (4) days prior to date fixed for opening of proposals Group A Avery Street Mill to remove 2" of bituminous concrete pavement. Patch any deficiencies within the milled binder course as directed by the Engineer through means of permanent pavement patching and/or crack sealing. Remove and replace bituminous curbing and residential driveway aprons as directed by the Engineer. Tack coat shall be applied before paving on all milled and repaired surfaces. Pave 2" of HMA SO.5. Install topsoil and seed to establish turf in any areas disturbed by construction activity. Paint pavement markings as directed by the Engineer and place hot seal on any milling joints. Group B Upper Veterans Memorial Parking Lot Remove all bituminous concrete curbing within the project limits . Mill to remove all bituminous concrete pavement down to gravel base (approximately 4"). Add processed aggregate base as necessary to grade to drain to existing catch basins and leak-offs as directed by the Engineer. Pave 2.5" of S0.5 binder course, installing bituminous lip curbing on the binder course. Apply tack coat on binder course prior to placement of the top course. Pave 1.5" of SO.375 top course. Install topsoil behind curb and adjacent to any new pavement,hydroseed with grass seed, fertilizer, and mulch to establish turf grass. Paint lines as shown on plans, and place hot seal on any joints where new pavement meets existing.
