Site work, new construction and renovation of a power facility in Bastrop, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a power facility; for the renovation of a power facility; and for site work for a power facility.

4TH FEEDER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT This project consists of a new #336 AAC overhead power line to be utilized by BP&L as a 4th feeder out of the Bastrop Substation. The new feeder will begin at the existing Bastrop Substation and pause approximately 1.90 miles away at the Highway 95 and Farm Street intersection. The new # 336 feeder will continue from Pitt Street along S.H. 21 south for approximately 0.50 miles and then pause at S.H.71. The new #336 feeder will continue crossing south over S.H. 71 approximately 0.40 miles east of Highway 21, turning west along S.H. 71 , and then turning south to Jasper Street and running west Jasper Street for approximately 0.70 miles . The total length of the new feeder line is approximately 3.1 miles. The project includes the retirement of 46 poles and the installation of 100 new steel poles. General Comments All work on existing overhead lines will be on energized 12.5 kV conductors. The Contractor shall include work on energized lines in the lump sum bid pricing for this work. This construction will include approximately 0.32 miles of underbuilding of an LCRA transmission line along Mesquite Street. This construction will also include approximately 0.30 miles of #336 AAC double circuit construction along Hill Street. The remaining construction will consist of rebuilding of existing lines and new construction. There will be (2) two TxDOT highway crossings, the first on Highway 95 at Hawthorne Street. This crossing will utilize # 336 AAC for the conductors. The second crossing will be on State Highway 71, approximately 0.40 miles east of Highway 21. This crossing will utilize # 336 ACSR for the conductors. TxDOT permits will be secured by the city and project engineer. It will be the contractor's responsibility to adhere to TxDOT requirement, scheduling and coordinating all traffic controls. Vegetation management will be required at various locations along the entire route. The contractor shall coordinate all aspects of this task and include all associated costs within the project bid. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating with property owners and removal and disposal of all timbers and debris. It is recommended the contractor ride the job out to view the clearing needed before bidding on the project.
