Administer EWMF herbicide in a lake near Vernal. Question Deadline 08/21/2026 at 2:00 PM MT Online A lake-wide treatment of ProcellaCOR will be administered in two phases in back-to-back years to eradicate the EWMF. Phase 1 will treat approximately half of the lake in 2026 and Phase 2 will treat the remaining half in 2027. The Phase 1 treatment will need to be completed in the first week of September when EWMF is still actively growing to be most effective. Hire a licensed and experienced application company to supply and administer EWMF herbicide to Pelican Lake to eradicate/control the invasive plant. Pelican Lake is approximately 1,800 surface acres at full capacity and is relatively shallow with a max depth of 20 feet. At the time of treatment the lake will be at most half full . The partial capacity right now is 650 surface acres with this project the plan is to complete half the lake at 325 surface acres. It is a flow through lake with an inlet and an outlet. The treatment would need to take place during the first week of September, 2026. At this time, because of water levels, there would be no inflow or outflow water into Pelican. Phase 1 will consist of a treatment of ProcellaCOR to approximately half of the lake, with the remaining half treated under Phase 2 the following year.
