All work shall be completed in accordance with the provided specifications, requirements, terms, conditions, and applicable contract provisions. The project is intended to maintain and improve existing asphalt pavement surfaces through sealing, pavement marking, and striping activities. Location: Clarence J. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST IS BETWEEN $25,000 AND $100,000 The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to seal asphalt surfaces, and paint and stripe asphalt surfaces at Clarence J Brown Dam and Reservoir, Springfield, OH. All work will be performed in strict compliance with the attached specifications and all other terms and conditions incorporated herein. 2. Performance Work Statement 2.1. Base: FRM - Asphalt Seal Engineer Road The Contractor shall furnish all labor materials, supplies, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the Base Contract Action. Asphalt Sealing along Engineer Road (Exhibit A.2). The Contractor shall use an asphalt sealant that is designed to protect asphalt surfaces against oxidation, moisture intrusion and against petroleum by-product intrusion. The sealant will meet ODOT specifications and will be approved by the Park Manager prior to use. The Contractor will clear all debris of the approximately 92,800 square feet of roadway to receive sealing (Exhibit A.2). The area should receive two (2) coats of sealer. The contractor will apply a coal tar emulsion sealer designed to protect pavement surfaces with a quick drying additive. The contractor shall mix at least 2 lbs. of sand per 1 gallons of sealer used. No sealant will be placed on any surface other than paved asphalt including guardrails and gate supports. The contractor is required to provide flagging equipment to block traffic and signage for the public. Note: Approximate square footage should not be used as a substitution for site inspection by interested contractor. Option 1 : FRM -Asphalt Seal and paint/stripe Overlook Drive The Contractor shall furnish all labor materials, supplies, tools, and equipment necessary to complete Option 1 -Asphalt Sealing, Painting/striping along Overlook Drive from the stop bar by the Maintenance shop to Croft Rd. (Exhibit A3) The Contractor shall use an asphalt sealant that is designed to protect asphalt surfaces against oxidation, moisture intrusion and against petroleum by-product intrusion. The sealant will meet ODOT specifications and will be approved by the Park Manager prior to use. The Contractor will clear all debris of the approximately 90,190 square feet of roadway to receive sealing (Exhibit A.3 ). The area should receive two (2) coats of sealer. The contractor will apply a coal tar emulsion sealer designed to protect pavement surfaces with a quick drying additive. The contractor shall mix at least 2 lbs. of sand per 1 gallons of sealer used. No sealant will be placed on any surface other than paved asphalt including parking bumpers, sidewalk surfaces, or walls. Upon completion of the asphalt sealing the Contractor will stripe paint approximately 9040 linear feet. Marking paint shall be approved by the Park Manager Prior to the start of work. All lines, symbols, arrows, etc. will be repainted, same size as previously painted. Striping length and angle, width of stop bars etc. will be the same as existing stripes. Contractor shall make a detailed drawing of angles and lengths of stripes, arrows, stencil locations, etc. prior to sealing to ensure all required painting is completed. The colors for the painting and striping will be chosen and approved by the Park Manager. Any deviations of color, size or configuration must be pre-approved by the Park Manager. Smearing or over spraying will not be acceptable. The painting service will have a one year warranty. The contractor is required to provide flagging equipment to control traffic, and signage for the public.
