Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marina, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Marina is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from experienced and qualified landscape architectural consultant teams to provide professional design services for the Asian American Garden at Locke-Paddon Wetland Community Park. The selected consultant will provide comprehensive landscape architectural services, including site investigation, conceptual and final design, preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, bid support, construction support, and project closeout services. The project will create a culturally significant public garden celebrating the heritage and contributions of the Asian American communities of Marina and Monterey County. The project consists of Asian American-themed gardens organized around the Four Seasons concept. Proposed site improvements include universally accessible walkways, steps, bridges, benches, educational and interpretive features, meandering streams, waterfalls, ponds, decorative gateways, specimen boulders, meditation rock gardens, decorative paving, raised decking, a focal pavilion, and specialty specimen plantings.
