Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Albany, New York. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary to resurface the existing asphalt pavement on Veterans Way from New Scotland Avenue to the VA Medical Center entrance circle. Work includes preparing approximately 36,000 square feet of roadway and parking lot for resurfacing by milling a minimum of 2 inches of existing pavement and removing debris from the site, applying tack coat to cleaned surfaces and between asphalt layers, and installing 2 inches of NYSDOT-approved Type 7 hot mix asphalt. The project also includes painting and restriping all existing roadway markings, including crosswalks, stop lines, and the chilled water tunnel breakout box. The contractor shall maintain safe traffic and pedestrian conditions throughout construction, provide flaggers on both sides of construction equipment while working on Veterans Way, minimize impacts to hospital operations, maintain vehicle access at all times, and pave milled asphalt areas the same day they are milled. Location: Stratton VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208. The magnitude of construction per FAR part 36 is between $100,000 and $250,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
