The Grande Prairie Airport invites written proposals from qualified licensed vendors who specialize in fire alarm systems to provide a Fire Alarm Panel. Work covered by this section includes the furnishing of labor, equipment, and materials for installation of the fire alarm system, including initiating devices, notification appliances, controls, and supervisory devices to meet code requirements The system shall consist of all necessary hardware, equipment, software and programming to perform the following functions: a. Fire Alarm and detection operations b. Smoke control equipment d. Fire suppression system The equipment and services in this RFP shall not be a proprietary system. The preferred qualifications for the manufacturer/service organization are as follows: a. Be a nationally recognized company specializing in fire alarm and detection systems. b. Employ factory trained and certified technicians. c. Maintain a service organization within 150 km of this project location. d. Manufacturer and service organization shall have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the fire protective signaling systems industry. Device Reuse/Replacement - The Grande Prairie Airport would like to reuse serviceable equipment if possible. New Devices - The Grande Prairie Airport recognizes that fire codes have changed. Devices required to bring the building into compliance with any current fire code need to be included in the RFP along with cost and locations. The contractor shall provide system configuration, programming and checkout, and provide necessary documentation and code compliant certification.
