Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Salem, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Relocation of Washer Hookups-Plumbing Relocation of Washer Hookups - Plumbing 705 E Seneff St, 713 E Seneff St, 807 E Seneff St. Salem, IL 62881 This Project shall be in accordance with Project #26-81. While each contract is stand-alone it is necessary that whoever is awarded each contract work together to reach a finished project. All work described shall be performed at the following addresses: 705 E Seneff St. and 713 E Seneff St. Remove all existing drain and water supply lines associated with the former washer location. o Cut and cap all water lines serving the adjoining half bath inside the shared wall, as well as the marked interior hose-bib supply line, ensuring it remains short enough to fit under a cabinet while staying exposed above the slab. Remove old toilet plumbing in the half bath and install a clean out in the adjoining wall. Relocate and install new hot and cold-water lines through the slab foundation to the new washer location using PEX-A, with all connections made above the slab using approved fittings, and the lines routed up the interior side of the wall Install a properly sized Schedule 40 PVC washer drain through the slab foundation with the drain and drain box installed within the exterior wall. Relocate the kitchen sink drain using Schedule 40 PVC through the slab foundation and tie it into the new drain system to eliminate the existing cast-iron piping. Install a properly sized vent inside the exterior wall continuing vertically through the wall and out the roof in accordance with code. (Drywall repair will be done by MCHA). Pressure test all newly installed water lines and drain fittings prior to concrete placement; no concrete shall be poured until testing is complete and satisfactory. Wrap all drains and water lines beneath the slab with PVC sleeves or equivalent approved material to provide proper clearance under the concrete. Install all drain lines with a minimum slope of 1/4 inch per foot to ensure proper flow. All work described shall be performed at the following address: 807 E Seneff St Remove all existing drain and water supply lines associated with the former washer location. Tie into the existing water lines that serve the sink and extend them through the opposite side of the shared wall , using copper piping and approved fittings, to provide a reliable connection point for the new washer location. Tie the new washer drain into the existing exposed bathroom plumbing located within the slab foundation. Tie the washer vent into the existing vent stack that serves the bathtub, ensuring proper venting in accordance with code. Install a properly sized P-trap and washing machine outlet box. at the new washer location, meeting all local code requirements for height, diameter, and trap-to-vent distance. o Ensure all relocated water lines are properly supported, strapped, and protected Use Schedule 40 PVC for all new drain lines; transition fittings must be used where connecting to existing materials Pressure test all newly installed water lines and drain fittings prior to concrete placement; no concrete shall be poured until testing is complete and satisfactory. Wrap all drains and water lines beneath the slab with PVC sleeves or equivalent approved material to provide proper clearance under the concrete. Install all drain lines with a minimum slope of 1/4 inch per foot to ensure proper flow. The Contractor must complete all required work no later than October 16, 2026 which shall serve as the established completion date.
