Demolition of the WBuilding at Pasadena City College. Master Agreement No. B240247 Question Deadline Sep 08, 2026 at 10:00 AM Online Q&A The Work of the Contract consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, permits, temporary facilities, and incidentals necessary to complete the W-Building Demolition Project, including utility coordination, unforeseen hazardous materials abatement, furniture and equipment removal, interior soft demolition, complete building demolition, debris removal and disposal, site restoration, temporary safety measures, and project closeout, in accordance with the Contract Documents. In addition, to be included but not limited to: 1. Prepare and submit demolition, logistics, traffic-control , safety, dust-control, waste-management, shoring, and bridge-removal plans. 2. Verify existing site conditions and document the condition of the R Building, sidewalks, roadways, utility tunnel, landscaping, service yard, pool area, and other improvements designated to remain. 3. Install and maintain an 8 -foot-high temporary chain-link construction fence with green screen, lockable gates, barricades, warning signs, and site security. 4. Maintain safe pedestrian routes, building exits, fire lanes, emergency access, and accessible paths throughout the work. 5. Confirm before structural demolition that all utilities have been removed from the W Building and that no active utilities remain within the building demolition limits . 6. Completely demolish and remove the W Building, including the structure, roof, exterior and interior components, slabs, foundations, footings, pads, stairs, ramps, and associated improvements within the approved demolition limits. 7. Demolish the connecting bridge between the W Building and R Building using an engineered sequence, including temporary shoring, bracing, lifting, rigging, and structural separation. 8. Protect the R Building during bridge demolition and provide temporary dust-tight, secure, and weather-resistant protection at the bridge connection. 9. Furnish and install the required railing at the R Building side following bridge removal, in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications. 10. Protect the existing utility tunnel, adjacent utilities, south sidewalk, roadways, landscaping, service yard, pool area, and other improvements designated to remain. 11. Provide engineered shoring and excavation protection for foundation removal, including the elevation difference between the north and south sides of the W Building. 12. Control dust, noise, vibration, debris, stormwater, and equipment operations throughout demolition. 13. Provide flaggers and traffic control during truck access, debris loading, and hauling. 14. Recycle and legally dispose of all demolition debris and provide disposal manifests, weight tickets, and recycling records. 15. Backfill and compact excavations with approved material, provide positive drainage, and complete the required temporary site restoration. 16. Repair damage caused by demolition, equipment, trucking, or failure to provide proper protection. 17. Submit daily reports, progress photographs , inspection records, compaction reports, disposal documentation, as -built information, and required closeout documents. 18. Remove temporary facilities and leave the site clean, secure, safe, and ready for the next phase of construction.
