The Project contemplated consists of expansion and upgrade of the Johnstown Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to 2.4 MGD including but not limited to: furnish and installing new Headworks Facility; new Influent Pump Station with new influent flow meter valve value; retrofit and upgrade of the existing Aerobic Granular Sludge Basins (AGS 1 and 2), new Aerobic Granular Sludge Basins (AGS 3 and 4), where each basin shall utilize AquaAerobic Systems Inc.'s AquaNereda granular sludge system and all appurtenances; new Blower Building with seven (7) positive displacement blowers; new Ultraviolet Disinfection facility with integrated cascade aeration facility, pre- UV flow meter and valve vault, and new effluent outfall to Raccoon Creek; new WAS Thickening Facility with two (2) rotary drum thickeners ; retrofit and upgrade of the existing aerobic digesters with new aeration equipment and cover system; retrofit and upgrade of the existing Dewatering equipment including installation of two new Fournier dewatering press cassettes ; new full-plant main power feeder with transformer, full-plant backup generator, and new Main Electrical room with full-plant switch gear and motor control centers; new piping, conduit and wire to support new facilities; and demolition of existing buildings including existing influent pump station, blower facility (including old sand filter basement), existing ultraviolet disinfection facilities, existing post-aeration facilities, and so forth.
