This item includes the removal of any trees in conflict with the proposed parking lot. This item includes root pruning in according with the Root Pruning detail on the construction plans. This item includes the removal and stockpiling of the top 8" of topsoil . This item includes the removal and disposal of any existing railroad ties. This item includes the removal of existing ballast, as needed, for path and shoulder construction. This item includes the partial removal of existing guide rail at STA 67+ 80 LT. Protection of existing street trees and publicly owned trees is included in this item. Refer to the Biodegradable Tree Shelter Detail on the plans for additional guidance. All labor and material and costs associated with these items are incidental to this item and cost. PAVED SHARED-USE PATH Per PennDOT Pub 408 Sections 203, 212, 313, 350, 413, and 460. Provide material and install the proposed path as shown on the construction plans. This includes the proposed landing and rest areas, parking lot connections, outlets, and stub connections. This includes the installation of the asphalt sidewalk section adjacent to South 10th Street. All excavation, grading, subgrade preparation, geotextile, stone, and pavement material is incidental to this item and cost. PAVED PARKING LOT Per PennDOT Pub 408 Sections 203, 212, 313, 350, 413, and 460. Provide material and install the proposed parking lot adjacent to Lehigh Parkway East as shown on the construction plans. All excavation, subgrade preparation, geotextile, grading, stone, and pavement material is incidental to this item and cost. PARKING LOT TIRE STOPS Provide and install double-sided precast concrete tire stops measuring 6' long x 9" wide x 5" high as shown on the construction plans. Submit catalog cut to the City's Representative for approval prior to ordering. CONCRETE CURB Per PennDOT Publication 408 Section 630, except as revised, and as shown on the construction plans. This item also includes the removal of existing curb, as necessary, and pavement restoration. Reset the manhole sets at STA 100 +85 RT and STA 14 +33 RT in and adjacent to the proposed parking lot to finished grade, if feasible. If necessary, replace the manhole sets to finished grade. MLK TRAIL PHASE 1 CONSTRUCTION Install new wood guide rail along the parking lot and reset wood guide rail as shown on the construction plan. This item includes all material and labor for the new wood guide rail installation and resetting of the existing wood guide rail including lumber, bolts , stone, and concrete.
