The intent of this solicitation is to obtain a complete turnkey lighting system designed specifically for the existing baseball field and capable of providing safe, uniform, energy-efficient illumination appropriate for recreational baseball activities. The project consists of adding a new LED sports lighting system to the existing baseball field and associated areas necessary for safe operation of the field. The Town desires a modern LED sports lighting system that: o Provides adequate illumination for nighttime recreational baseball; o Provides appropriate light levels and uniformity across the playing surface; o Minimizes glare to players, spectators, motorists, and surrounding properties; o Minimizes light spill and unnecessary uplight; o Utilizes energy-efficient LED technology; o Provides reliable operation with minimal maintenance; o Is designed for the specific dimensions and physical characteristics of the existing field; o Meets applicable electrical , structural , building, safety, and lighting standards; and o Is furnished as a complete turnkey system requiring no additional construction by the Town to make the system operational.
