Site work for a water / sewer project in Terrace, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Terrace is seeking qualified heavy civil/marine contractors to complete the Skeena River Outfall Works. The project requires a contractor with demonstrated experience working in river and marine environments, including marine excavation, submerged pipe installation, large rock placement, and environmental protection. Anticipated Scope The major components of the work include: Approximately 250 m of 600 mm DR17 HDPE outfall pipe, including approximately 60 m submerged within the Skeena River. 450 mm steel diAuser pipe, including (ACBM) Articulated Concrete Block Mattress underlay. 450 mm DR17 HDPE bypass pipe. Various manholes and a meter chamber. Marine excavation and preparation of the riverbed for pipe installation. Installation, bedding, backfilling, and protection of the submerged outfall. Placement of large rock/riprap for pipe protection and riverbed restoration. Associated testing, surveying, and site restoration.
