Construction of a new Pump Station Building, installation of vertical turbine pumps and electrical equipment, installation of new yard piping, construction of a new 2.0 MG GST, and various demolition work. The project includes the installation of a new pump station facility that will include an engineered metal building with a bridge crane within the pump room, an electrical room, as well as a new restroom and necessary ADA facilities. The pump station will be designed as a 2+1 pump operation to deliver up to 23 MGD. The project also includes a two-million gallon ground storage tank and the procurement of electrical substation equipment. 1. Existing Spade Pump Station ñ The existing pump station is a critical booster pump station to the overall operation of the Lake EV Spence Raw Water Transmission System. Prior to the temporary or permanent shutdown of the facility, Contractor must contact CRMWD at least 2 weeks prior to the proposed shutdown date. 2. Existing Spade Electrical Substation ñ The existing electrical substation is required for the operation of the Spade Pump Station. Shutdowns of the electrical substation should be coordinated with shutdowns of the existing Spade Pump Station. Prior to the temporary or permanent shutdown of the facility, Contractor must contact CRMWD at least 2 weeks prior to the proposed shutdown date. 3. Connections to existing 42î Transmission Line ñ To make the required connections, shutdowns of the existing transmission line will be required. Shutdowns should be coordinated with CRMWD operations and other facility shutdowns. Prior to the temporary or permanent shutdown of the facility, Contractor must contact CRMWD at least 2 weeks prior to the proposed shutdown date.
