Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Saint Louis, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility.
The project consists of the demolition of the existing 86,000 SF, two-story building constructed in 1958, which requires a wet demolition approach due to the presence of hazardous materials and structural concerns limiting access within the building. A methodical demolition plan will be required due to voids present below the first-floor slab, limiting demolition equipment loading within the building footprint. All demolition debris will be impacted by asbestos containing building materials, requiring it to be disposed of as asbestos waste, meeting certain local, state and federal requirements. Following demolition of the building, removal and modification to any other indicated site elements and restoration of the overall site is required. Reference the Drawings and Project Manual for all requirements.
