SUF Laurentian Divide Kiosk Repair - This project is for construction services to replace the roof, paint the fascia, and stain support beams on the information kiosk located at the Laurentian Divide Recreation Area, Superior National Forest . The project shall consist of removing all existing asphalt shingle roofing, underlayment materials, vents, drip edge, valley flashing , rotted fascia etc. and removal and proper disposal of all debris from the sites. The contractor shall inspect with the COR (Contracting Officer's Representative) all existing conditions of the roof. Contractor is to supply sufficient decking material to repair roof deck if needed . Contractor shall provide and install underlayment, drip edge, shingles, replacement fascia, paint, stain and incidentals needed to provide a finished project. New roofing materials shall not be installed on defective or rotten material . The deck must be smooth , dry, and free of surface imperfections when the new roofing materials are applied. Repairs, if any, shall be made to the existing roof surface to ensure an adequate substrate for the new roofing. Manufactures application instructions shall be followed. All exposed roofs must be covered every night and in bad weather to protect the roof boards and structure underneath . Paint shall not be applied to rotten fascia.
