Work required pursuant to this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to complete the project as listed above. Work to include but not limited to removal and disposal/rejuvenation of anthracite and sand filter media, placement and disinfection of new sand and granular activated carbon media, repair of porous filter plates, caulking of required areas, installation of new piping, valve and flow meter including supports and repainting. A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (5%) of the total bid amount shall be required with all bids submitted. Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the contract sum shall be required from the selected bidder following award. A Maintenance Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract sum shall be required after completion of work and prior to final payment. Bids and amendments to bids received after the time set for the bid opening will not be considered. All bids must be completely filled out when submitted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the City of Middletown.
