Partial roof replacement at Fire Station # 7. The County of York, Virginia (Owner) is seeking the services of a professional contractor to furnish/provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to complete a partial roof replacement at York County's Fire Station 7 Administrative Building in strict accordance with the Drawings and Specifications, including any and all Addenda, and in strict compliance with the Contract Documents, the terms of which are incorporated herein by reference. Work will only be performed on the larger shingled section of the overall structure. The bay roof will only be receiving ice guards, and no work will be done on the middle vestibule section. Project Location: 5684 Mooretown Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188 The partial roof replacement of Fire Station 7 shall include, but not be limited to , the following Scope of Work, as described in the Drawings and other Contract Documents: Remove and dispose of the existing asphalt shingle roof system down to the existing plywood surface. Remove and dispose of the existing gutters and downspouts. Provide a new architectural shingle roof system on synthetic underlayment. The work will include providing new ice and water shields at valleys, eaves, rakes, ridges, transitions, and penetrations as shown in the Drawings. Provide new flashing for the penetrations and new ridge vents as shown in the Drawings. Provide new aluminum sheet metal gutters, downspouts, roof edge metal, drip edge, step flashing, ice guards, and other sheet metal flashings shown in the Drawings. Provide new permanent fall protection anchors. Provide all necessary utility disconnects, reconnects, and utility extensions needed to complete the work. Recertify the lightning rod system upon completion of work. Provide a one-year contractor's warranty for all work. Provide a new 40-year manufacturer's roof system warranty for the asphalt shingle roof systems.
