Site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Columbus, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the construction of a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.

Construction of four concrete box culverts, one 100' three-span continuous concrete slab bridge, twenty roadway culverts with concrete headwalls, roadway grading, 8" asphaltic concrete pavement, pavement removal, subgrade preparation, and earth shoulder construction. Platte County intends to replace structures on Monastery Road between 280th and 325th Streets (Phase 2) and between 325th and 385th Streets (Phase 3). Phases 2 and 3 are anticipated to be let for construction by the end of 2026. Utility relocation is anticipated to begin in 2027, extending from 280th Street to 490th Street, in preparation for future grading and concrete pavement improvements along the entire 14-mile Monastery Road corridor. Future phases and improvements are anticipated only and are not guaranteed to occur. Project schedules, phasing, and construction plans are subject to change based on funding, approvals, priorities, and other factors.
