The City of Paxton, Florida, is requesting sealed proposals from qualified contractors for a contract to provide roadside maintenance services along State Road 187 (U.S. Highway 331) from the Paxton City limits to the City limit sign. Services shall include, but are not limited to, mowing, edging, weed eating, and removal of litter and debris within the designated highway right-of-way. The contract will be for one year, effective October 1st, 2026. Please include both monthly and annual costs of the proposed contract. The successful contractor shall provide the following services: Mow, cut, and/or trim grass or turf and remove grass and turf clippings from the roadway, curbs, and sidewalks. Edge curbs and sidewalks to eliminate excess growth of grass and/or vegetation. Remove litter and debris from within the limits of the highway right-of-way. Perform all work in accordance with the State of Florida's "A Guide for Roadside Vegetation Management." Provide required safety equipment, including safety vests and flashing lights, in accordance with applicable Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards while performing the work. Obtain and maintain appropriate liability insurance for the duration of the contract. The City of Paxton reserves the right to: Waive any technicalities or informalities; Reject any and all proposals that are incomplete, conditional, non-responsive, or contain unauthorized additions or alterations; Reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, with or without cause; and Accept the proposal determined to be in the best interest of the City of Paxton.
