Remodel and renovate the station's laundry room to improve space efficiency and functionality. All work shall be completed in accordance with applicable local and federal regulatory standards. The project includes removal and replacement of existing flooring, washers, dryers, cabinets, and countertops. Electrical work includes replacement of outlets and switches as specified in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and related services necessary to complete the renovation. estimated value that exceeds $700,000 All wages and fringe benefits shall be paid in accordance with the Service Contract Act (SCA) and the Davis-Bacon Act requirements applicable to the place and period of performance. Quoters must provide proof of insurance as part of their submission. All appliances and cabinets need to be removed from space and properly disposed of. Contractor is required to provide their own dumpster service for the project while work is being conducted. All disposals will comply with local and federal EPA regulations for waste disposal. b) Floor matting will be removed along with sub-flooring. New sub-flooring will be installed and properly leveled. New non-slip epoxy flooring will be installed. Color will be white with blue flakes. Any work that creates excessive dust or fumes must include a vacuum collection system so that it does not impede the work of the members on that floor or compartment. c) Electrical outlets and switches in space will be replaced with new ones. All necessary outlets will have GFCI's and meet Massachusetts Electrical Code (527 CMR 12.00) and NFPA 70. Current light fixtures will be replaced with the same like and kind , but must have LED tube lights. d) Drop ceiling and ventilation ducting shall be replaced with same like and kind ceiling tiles and grid system . Vent openings will be replaced with new ones, ducting shall be inspected and replaced as needed. e) Latex painting shall have a minimum of two coats applied (white in Color). Cove base/base molding shall be installed in space and around cabinets (color will be brown or black). f) Plumbing supply valves will be replaced with new ones. All drain lines and dryer ducting will be replaced with new ones. Plumbing will comply with Massachusetts Uniform State Plumbing Code (248 CMR 10.00). New utility sink will be installed (roughly 24"x24"). New energy efficient washers and dryers will be installed in space. g) New light brown wood cabinets will be installed with stainless steel or black handles. New faux stone countertops will be installed to match space and cabinets. h) New metal door will be replaced in space, door will have window, possible store-front style door could be applicable for space.
