Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Alexis, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project consists of removing and replacing the existing single span bridge with a new single span precast prestressed concrete deck beam bridge supported on concrete spill-thru pile bent abutments. The proposed structure is 67'-0" bk to bk abutments, 28'-0" out to out of deck, and has a 35 degree skew right ahead. This work will include channel excavation, structure excavation, removal of the existing structure, placement of stone riprap, pouring concrete structures, furnishing and placement of deck beams, furnishing and driving of piles, and other related work to completing the structure. Project Location: Project is located in Warren County in Section 2, Township 12 North, Range 1 West of the 4th P.M Proposals requiring prequalification of bidders will be issued only to those contractors who are qualified with the Department of Transportation. Prequalification forms may be secured from the Engineer of Construction, Administration Building, 2300 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, IL 62764.
