Renovation of a medical facility in Reno, Nevada. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

REQUISITION/PURCHASE REQUEST NUMBER 654-26-2-6059-0042 Project Requirement : The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to relocate and add additional power legs to the water pumps in the building 12 basement . Work includes installing power, relocating normal power onto the Motor Control Center ( MCC ) , and installing a manual transfer switch (MTS) to ensure the system is fully compliant with the VA Technical Information Library (TIL) and the Veterans Health dministration (VHA) Electrical Design Manual . Relocation of pump power electrical infrastructure at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System. The Reno, NV Veteran's Affairs (VA) medical center's building 12 is needed of relocating the power sources for water pumps in the basement. The current system directly feeds the pumps with normal power and has no emergency power source tied onto the system . In the event of a power outage, the motor control center (MCC) will not be able to provide power onto the pumps for the entirety of the building. The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to outline the project planning stages, schedule, and important prerequisites of installing emergency power and relocating normal power onto the MCC as well as installing a manual transfer switch (MTS). According to the VA Technical Information Library (TIL) chapter 4 section 4.6, the guide states that all essential electrical systems are to be supplied with additional electrical standby systems. This includes but is not limited to domestic water pumps, equipment, control systems, and the receptacles for the pumps. Relocating the power source for the water pumps will allow the facility to be in proper compliance with VHA guidelines. This power source will directly improve patient safety in an efficient manner while maintaining code compliance Set-aside language not mapped: 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) All Requests for Information (RFIs) regarding this RFP shall be submitted in writing and received no later than Friday July 31 , 2026, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time to allow replies to reach all prospective offerors in a timely manner.
