Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Fort Branch, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project.
The contract will consist of the following: The project generally consists of the installation of approximately 19,000 lineal feet of new 6-inch and 8- inch water main via horizontal directional drill and open cut along Polk Street, Ulen Street, Williams Street, Park Street (SR -168), US-41, Railroad Street, Coal Mine Road, Poplar Street, Main Street, Mulberry Street, and Lincoln Street. Work also includes the installation of gate valves, fire hydrants, water service lines and other ancillary work. The work does include crossing under US-41 with HDPE casing installed via horizontal directional drill . The project also includes all necessary site restoration, maintenance of traffic, and erosion control. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. The State of Indiana has set a goal of 10% participation for minority and women owned businesses and 3% participation of veteran owned businesses for construction or purchase related contracts for the work.
