Description

Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.

The City of Whitewater is soliciting sealed bids from qualified roofing contractors for the complete tear-off and replacement of the existing roof at the Cravath Lakefront Building with a new standing seam metal roofing system. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, disposal, and incidentals required for a complete project. o Field verify all roof dimensions and existing conditions. o Completely remove and legally dispose of the existing roofing system. o Inspect the roof deck after tear-off. o Replace deteriorated roof decking only upon City authorization using the unit prices provided. o Install high-temperature synthetic underlayment. o Install ice and water shield where required by code and manufacturer recommendations. o Install a minimum 24-gauge concealed-fastener standing seam metal roofing system. o Install all required flashings, trim, ridge caps, closures, sealants, pipe boots, and accessories. o Provide and install a complete manufacturer-approved snow retention system in the base bid. o Protect the building from weather throughout construction. o Perform daily cleanup and magnetic nail sweeping. o Restore disturbed areas upon completion. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
