The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is seeking the services of a qualified Construction Manager (CM) to support the pre-construction design development, construction, and delivery of the new TTC Operations Facility. The Project is a vital component of the TTC's long-term strategy to modernize and consolidate its administrative, operational, and technology-enabled support functions . Situated within Toronto's east end at the existing TTC McCowan Yard lands (1720 Ellesmere Road, Scarborough), the facility will be strategically located in close proximity to critical transit infrastructure to ensure seamless network oversight. Key attributes of the facility include: Resilience: A modern, multi-storey (approximately 2-3 storeys) Post- Disaster Building, designed to ensure continuous operation and structural resilience during and after a major emergency event. Footprint: A building footprint of approximately 4,000 square metres. Sustainability & Compliance: The facility must achieve compliance with the City of Toronto's Green Standards (TGS) and net-zero emissions mandates . Sustainable design features under consideration include a green roof, heat-recovery/re-use systems, and advanced energy optimization measures.
