Demolition of existing Mirabella Pool facility and construction of a new four-story community center including an aquatic facility with two new pools. The new Boston Centers for Youth and Families (BCYF) North End Community Center will be located adjacent to the BCYF Mirabella Pool on Commercial Street in the North End . This project and location selection follows an extensive Programming and Siting Study by the Public Facilities Department, BCYF with Sasaki Architects. The Mirabella Site area (combined parcels, including water) is approximately 291,500 sf with an approximately 25,000 sf footprint identified for the community center. The new building is anticipated to have a proposed GSF of approximately 54,500 sf.
