Scope of work: o Demolition and disposal of 14 existing aluminum windows leaving the sub-frame intact and protecting adjacent surfaces during removal. Dispose of all materials off-site in accordance with Connecticut regulations. Installation of 14 new energy-efficient replacement windows including insulation of any voids with a non-expanding foam; caulking any seams or areas subject to air-infiltration with white Sikaflex or similar caulk; any incidental masonry repairs and any painting required to restore the affected area to a finished condition. The work shall be isolated from the general Town Hall space by means of an airtight polyethylene tarp or other method suitable to control dust and debris. The work area shall be cleaned of all dust and debris daily. Final cleanup includes glass cleaning, label removal and debris removal. The Town of Goshen has selected Sierra Pacific 8000 Series Vinyl Windows with the following specifications: Interior Color: White. o Exterior Color: White. Hardware: White. Screens: Included on all operable units. Grilles: GBG, 11/16" contoured. Glass: Dual Insulated , Low-E, with Argon (U-Factor 30; SHGC .27; CR 55; VT .49). Tempered glass where required by code. Install white aluminum exterior trim coil. Provide complete water management system: sill flashing; jamb flashing; head flashing; seal all penetrations watertight. Insulate window perimeters using low-expansion foam. Install: Interior trim (match existing as closely as possible); 5/4" interior stops; all finishes to be paint ready. An agent for the town will monitor all aspects of the project and report to the town on its progress.
