Bids are required for the entire work as described herein:The City of Hanford is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, permits, supervision, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete the Multi-Site Roofing Replacement Project. The project includes the complete replacement of the existing roofing systems at the Veterans Memorial Building (401 N. Irwin Street) and the City Hall Building ( 315 N. Douty Street), including asbestos abatement, roof deck repairs as necessary, installation of new WeatherWeld roofing systems, flashing and sheet metal improvements, Title 24-compliant reflective roof coatings, and all associated work required to provide complete, watertight roofing assemblies. The project also includes several additive alternate bid items, including exterior building painting, window reglazing, ADA ramp replacement, floor replacement, HVAC replacement, outdoor lighting improvements, CCTV camera installation, and interior water damage repairs, as further described in the Contract Documents The Base Bid work shall be completed within thirty (30) calendar days following issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be accompanied by a bidder's security made payable to the City of Hanford for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into this contract All questions regarding this project shall be in writing and shall be submitted through online, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. All bids are to be compared on the basis of the City Engineer's estimate of the quantities of work to be done. No bids will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of Business and Professions Code. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
