Balch School Accessible Concrete Ramp Installation Construction of a cast-in-place cement concrete accessible ramp with steel handrails at the Balch Elementary School, 1170 Washington Street, Norwood. Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The Work includes furnishing all tools, equipment, supervision, labor, permits, approvals, bonds, and all other incidental services necessary for the construction of a cast-in-place cement concrete accessible ramp with steel handrails at the Balch Elementary School, 1170 Washington Street, Norwood, including temporary construction and chain link fencing, sedimentation control, tree and stump removal, unclassified excavation and gravel borrow, saw cutting of existing pavements, cement concrete ramp walls and footings, granite curbing, cement concrete sidewalk with detectable warning panels, loam and seeding, and reflectorized traffic drums, all in accordance with the Plans, the Specifications, and 521 CMR (Architectural Access Board). The site adjoins an operating elementary school , playground, and ballfield that remain in use during the Work, and site access, deliveries, and staging on school days are coordinated with the Town and the Norwood Public Schools as stated in the Special Provisions within the Town of Norwood, all in accordance with the Contract Documents.
