Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Mobile, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Installation of approximately 5,000 LF of 12" water main, 7,000 LF of 6" water main and associated appurtenances. The project limits will be based on the available SRF funding. The project priority areas will be the 12 water main and the 6 water mains east of Wilson Ave. The 2026 SRF funding is $2.4 million with the remainder of the funding to be provided in 2027. Therefore, should the bid amount exceed the available total funding from SRF 2026 plus 2027, several streets may be removed from the project. LOCATION : This project is located within the right-of-way of Bella Street from Dayton Ave. heading south to Clark Ave., jogging eastward slightly and continuing southward within he undeveloped road right-of-way to Tobes Ct./Bella St., continuing southward on Bella St. until it intersects with W. Prichard Ave. turning eastward along W. Prichard Ave. ending at S. Craft Highway. The project area also includes portions of W. Clark Ave., Service Rd., Service St., E. Lovejoy Loop, Phillips Ave., Clark Ave., and E. Main St. in the City of Prichard. SCOPE OF WORK: The intent of this project is to replace the existing 12" and smaller water mains within the road rights-of-way of the Lovejoy Loop project area, abandon the existing water mains, reconnect services and hydrants, and provide stub out connections for future phases. DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: Obtain all required permits to complete the water main replacement and adhere to all applicable regulations. The Owner has submitted the City of Prichard ROW permit applications. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining a City Business License for the City of Prichard. The Contractor shall provide all insurance, bonds, and traffic control plans required for all permitting required to complete the work. All permitting requirements are a subsidiary obligation of the various contract bid items. Document the pre-construction conditions at the job site in accordance with Section 10.1.10 of the MAWSS' Standard Specifications. This is a subsidiary obligation of the various contract bid items. Field verify the location and depth of existing utilities including but not limited to communication lines, power, gas mains and services, sewer mains and laterals, existing water services, and storm drains prior to installation of the proposed water main to confirm alignment and depth. Also, the Contractor shall field verify the location, depth , diameter and material of the existing water main at the proposed connections, including side streets. The Complete the construction of the new water main and connections to the existing water main and services in accordance with the Project Plans and Specifications, City permit and requirements, and MAWSS' Standard Specifications. Contractor shall field determine the existing right of way line location to assure the proposed water main remains within the right of way. Complete all testing in accordance with the MAWSS' Standard Specifications. This is a subsidiary obligation of the various unit bid items. Re-establish water service to all existing buildings. When the building does not have an active water meter the curb stop shall be cupped. 7. Return the project site to pre-construction conditions or better.
