GSA is requested to provide design/build services to demolish three sets of bollards (AVBs) currently one set of 5 bollards on Meeting St. and two sets of 5 bollards on Broad St. Each entrance has 2 fixed and 3 hydraulic bollards to be removed.There is one guard booth on Meeting St. SOW shall include removal of current hydraulic and fixed bollards and concrete foundations, remove and replace one guard booth and remove and replace three security gates. Provide new AVB gates and foundations to replace the bollards. Gate 1: USMS requires installing (2) swing gates on the inner portion of the driveway using Hysecurity SwingSmart CNX gate operators. These gates will be parallel to the pedestrian walkway and swing inbound. Also install a Hysecurity StrongArm M30 beyond the swing gate clearance, adjacent to the guard booth. Gate 2 and Gate 3: USMS requires installing a StrongSlide M30s at the current location of existing slide gates. Provide new guard booth, same color, same tinted ballistic glass. Provide new security pedestals, exit loops, cameras, wiring and associated controls for a complete 3 entrance secure installation. See specifications and sample cut sheets for installation details. The iron picket gates are locally made, portions of the existing gates (pickets may be made or used as samples) Current ornamental gates are 6 feet high, the City of Charleston Historic Preservation review will determine if new gates are 6 feet or 7 feet high. The new Strong Slide M30 gates have a green control box that needs to be painted black.
