West Valley Sanitation District of Santa Clara County (DISTRICT ) invites sealed bids for the Package Point Repair Contract Phase I. The Project is located at various locations in the City of Saratoga . The work generally involves routine point repairs or replacements of 6 - inch and 8 -inch sewer mains . There are 32 sections of pipeline . The specific work and associated bid items are described in the Contract Documents . All bids shall be accompanied - "by a cashier's check or certified check payable to" West Valley Sanitation District of Santa Clara County, in the amount of ten percent (10 % ) of the bid, or by a bond in said amount payable to same . LAWS AND REGULATIONS Pursuant to Section 1770 , California Labor Code, the successful Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded, and upon all subcontractors , shall pay no less than the general prevailing wage rates to all workers employed in the performance of the Contract . Pursuant to Section 1771.1 , California Labor Code, a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid, be listed in a bid proposal , subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code or engage in the performance of any contract for public works , unless currently registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations as a public works contractor. Contractor shall possess a valid Class A, General Engineering license at the time of the bid opening and for the duration of the contract .
