Remove and properly dispose of all existing ceiling grids throughout the Maintenance Building. Page 3 of 18 B. Remove all existing flooring throughout the building, except for the ceramic tile flooring in the men's and women's restroom areas. C. Remove existing cabinets and fixtures in the men's and women's restrooms. D. Protect existing adjacent surfaces, walls, and equipment from damage during demolition activities. E. Evaluate and account for material lead times to ensure proper sequencing of work, prior to commencement of demolition activities. Once material availability and scheduling have been established, work may proceed in an orderly and timely manner. A1.6 MECHANICAL (HVAC) The Vendor shall: A. Remove and reconfigure existing HVAC ductwork as required to accommodate the new ceiling configuration and layout. B. Installation of new ductwork shall be properly supported , sealed, and balanced to ensure efficient system operation. A1.7 INSULATION A1.8 A. Mechanical Area - Ceiling Insulation: The Vendor shall install closed-cell spray foam insulation at the ceiling within the mechanical area after removal of existing ceiling materials. Insulation shall be installed to achieve the required thermal performance and provide continuous air-sealing. Upon completion , the spray foam insulation shall be painted, and all finished surfaces shall match the existing interior building color scheme and appearance, including the light gray finishB. Ceiling Insulation: The Vendor shall: Install closed-cell spray foam insulation at the ceiling area after removal of existing ceiling materials and completion of all HVAC ductwork modifications. The Vendor shall ensure insulation is installed to achieve the required thermal performance and provide continuous air-sealing. Install closed-cell spray foam insulation at the ceiling areas with a minimum thermal performance of R-30, or greater as required to meet applicable building and energy code requirements. Insulation thickness must be in accordance with the manufacturer's published R-value per inch to achieve the specified performance. The Vendor shall ensure all materials and installation methods comply with applicable codes and manufacturer recommendations.
