Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Darien, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Removal of existing asphalt, preparation of areas, and paving with 2-1/2 inches of compacted CT DOT Class 2 asphalt at four distinct locations. Question Deadline 09/16/2026 at 12:00 PM ET Any questions concerning this Bid must be submitted in writing to Jennifer Fava, Director of Parks and Recreation, jfava@darienct.gov Written responses to material questions will be posted as Q&A Addenda to the Town of Darien website no later than 5:00pm on September 17, 2026. There will not be a scheduled site visit. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to visit McGuane Park and familiarize themselves with the project and conditions of the site. The sections are marked on the asphalt. It will be assumed that each bidder has so familiarized himself/herself and ignorance of conditions shall not be considered as an excuse for non-performance by the contractor.
